Greg Henke Memorial Scholarship Fund

Greg Henke joined the Bourgade Catholic community in 1988 and served as teacher and counselor up until his sudden passing in March of 2017. In 1999, Henke took over the BCHS Baseball Program as the head varsity coach. Over 18 years of leading the varsity baseball program, Coach Henke amassed hundreds of wins, many state playoff appearances and a state championship in 2010. Off the baseball field, Henke was heavily involved in the school's campus ministry program and served as a guitarist and vocalist for school masses. In his later years, Henke taught theology and psychology, before becoming the school's upperclassmen counselor in 2016.

Greg Henke was a beloved mentor, coach, friend, father and husband. To ensure his legacy lives on through Bourgade's history, the Henke family has established a memorial scholarship fund in hopes of reaching $20,000 to have the scholarship endowed. Once endowed, a scholarship or scholarships will be awarded on an annual basis to help Bourgade Catholic students with tuition assistance. Peter van Leeuwen Scholarship Fund

Peter van Leeuwen touched the hearts of many people during his short years on earth as an altar boy and active parishioner at St. Jerome’s parish, a classmate and friend to all at Bourgade Catholic High School, an Honor student and Valedictorian of the Class of 1984 and as a National Merit Scholarship while attending Arizona State University.

An endowment was started in 1994 in memory of Peter and funds an annual scholarship to a student at Bourgade Catholic who characterizes the same academic excellence that Peter did.
