Dearest families,

Your generous service to the Bourgade Catholic community is so appreciated; we are fortunate to benefit from your kindness and dedication. So we may continue as a community to share the spirit of service and volunteerism, we wanted to provide a gentle reminder of Diocesan policy.

All volunteers are required by the Diocese to:
  • Complete a full volunteer application
  • Provide 2 references
  • Complete a face to face interview
  • Attend an initial Safe Environment training class, with annual renewals completed
What if I want to volunteer this year and still need to complete some of these steps?
  • We will be accepting applications at the beginning of many BCHS events through the remainder of the year, and will complete face to face interviews at that time.
  • Complete and return your volunteer application to the school office or via email to us at your convenience.
What if I have completed this process at my parish?
If you have completed this process at your local parish, and have current Safe Environment training documented in the data base, the volunteer application, face-face interview, and references must also be completed for each Diocesan site or school at which you volunteer.

After spring break in April, we will also hold several sessions to complete applications and the face to face interview for those who prefer. These sessions will be posted in the bulletin and on the school calendar for your convenience.
It is our hope to make this process as efficient as possible and look forward to having your application on file before the end of this school year.
